The beating retreat ceremony takes place daily and thousands of people attend this every day. The Wagah border is easily accessible from Amritsar as it is located just 30 km away. We reached there by 3 pm and enjoyed the entire experience there.

I went to the Wagah border with banbanjara. Our seats were at a shaded place and the views from there were best. Very proud moment for all Indians. The ceremony is very long so don’t forget to carry a water bottle, cap, and snacks.
