The first snow starts appearing late in December, and by the beginning of January, the entire peak is covered in a blanket of pristine white snow, this is one of the primary reasons why Brahmatal is the best trekking places in India and is one of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand in winters!

Trekking is a physical activity and that means that to truly enjoy the journey, you must achieve a certain level of fitness. For the Brahmatal trek, we recommend that you start following a fitness regime at least a month before embarking on the trek. Target completing 5 km in a period of fewer than 35 minutes.
During the Brahmatal Trek, you will get minimal network until Lohajung, although it can get quite unreliable even at this point. Although Uttarakhand is equipped with all modern facilities, network connectivity is often weak at high elevations. Beyond that, there is no connection whatsoever. It is best that you inform anxious friends and relatives beforehand.
Definitely! You are invited to chalk out an independent plan to undertake your trek to the Brahmatal Lake, at your convenient time frame for any number of people. The cost for a private trip is fixed on the basis of group size, trek area, duration, and trek style.
Alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited during this adventure. Anyone found indulging in either will be expelled immediately without a refund. The locals believe the place to be sacred and get offended if they observe anyone drinking or smoking.
All trekkers are required to carry a medical kit for the Brahmatal Trek. The medical kit should contain basic medicines like Crocin, Avomine, Avil, Disprin, Combiflam, Norflox, and Digene besides medical essentials like a crepe bandage, cotton, anti-septic liquid-like Dettol, band-aid, gauze and ORS packets.
