How To Reach

By Air

➔ Air travel is the most convenient for reaching Srinagar, and the closest airport is Sheikh-Ul-Alam airport, with connecting and direct flights to all Indian cities. From here, take a cab to your destination.

By Rail

➔ Jammu Tawi Railway station is the closest station to Kashmir, 300 km away. Jammu station is connected to all cities in India. From here, you can take a state or private bus or cab to reach Srinagar.

By Road

➔ From your destination, if there is a bus to Srinagar bus stand, you can. Otherwise, a private cab or personal car is the best option to head to Srinagar.

Itinerary For Naranag Gangabal Lake Trek, Kashmir

Day 1 - Srinagar To Naranag

Narang

Head from Srinagar to Narang

Our representatives will pick you up from Srinagar, and you will start your journey to Naranag.
After a scenic drive, you reach Naranag to enjoy the famous tourist destination with the Lord Shiva temple and a classic archaeological site.
Go for a short hike to Dumail, as it will help you get used to the mountain region.

Day 2 - Naranag To Trunkhol Meadow

Trunkhol

Head to Trundkol Campsite

On day 2, after having breakfast, you start your 10-kilometer trek to the campsite in Trundkol.
The trail is beautiful, rich with vegetation and mountain views.
After 7-8 hours of trekking with an altitude gain of 1 km, you reach the campsite.
Get settled in your tent and stay overnight.

Day 3 - Trek to Nundkol and Gangabal

Gangabal

On day 3, after breakfast, you will start the trek to Nundkol, which takes 2 hours and has a length of 3 km.
Trek through Harmukh Valley’s rolling slope to reach Gangabal Lake. It is the biggest alpine lake here.
After witnessing the views from the summit and exploring them a bit, we head to Nundkol campsite for an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Heading back to Naranag and then the campsite

Naranag

After breakfast, it is time to start the descent through the Trundkhol slopes towards the Harmukh valley.
The route is a bit rough till Naranag, from where you drive back to Srinagar, ending your 4-day trek.
