The summer months are generally considered the best time to go for the Sar Pass trek. No, all the activities on this trek remain closed from December to till winter season ends. As this trek route is perched at the height of 13,850 feet above the sea level, this area receives heavy snowfall. All the trails are covered with thick snow and temperature remains in a subzero condition which is not suitable for trekking.
From July monsoon season starts and in the month of August this area receives heavy rainfall. There may be chances of landslides or rainstorms so this time is not suitable for trekking Sar Pass.
