➔ The road distance is around 350 kilometers, and the journey takes approximately 6 to 7 hours, depending on traffic and the chosen route.

By Train:

➔ To reach Hampi from Bangalore by train, travelers can board a train to Hospet Junction, which is the nearest railway station to Hampi.

➔ The journey takes around 7 to 8 hours, depending on the train selected. From Hospet, Hampi is about 13 kilometers away, and one can hire a cab or take a local bus to reach the destination.

Day 1 - Departure From Bangalore For Hampi

The journey starts from Bangalore to Hamp, a 340 km distance that will be covered in either a modern Tempo-Traveler or a minibus.

Day 2 - Reach Hampi and explore the historical city

You will reach Hampi early in the morning by 6 am.
Head towards the camp, check-in, rest, and have a hearty breakfast.
The first stop is the Vijaya Vittala temple or stone chariot. The stay here will be approximately 2 hours.
It is lunchtime; you can choose any restaurant of your choice to enjoy the local cuisine of Hampi. (Self-sponsored lunch).
After lunch, it is time to reach and explore the Queen’s bathhouse.
From here, we will go to Mahanavami Dibba and explore this along with the palace ruins, the underground secret room, the fort, and the palace ruins.
It is time to reach Hazara Rama temple and seek blessings.
From here, you will head to the Elephant Stables and explore this with the Hampi Museum and Lotus Mahal.
At our next destination, we will cover the Laxmi-Narasimha temple.
After exploring the temple, it is time to reach Hemakuta Parvata; here you will trek to the mountain to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets and head back down.
It is time to head to the Virupaksha temple, seek blessings, and witness the beautiful architecture of the peaceful temple.
It is time to head to your camp to rest.
At night, enjoy the campfire and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 3 - Sunset at the hill and lake visit

Have a late morning and enjoy your breakfast.
After breakfast, it is time to reach Anjanadri Betta.
Trek up the hill and spend the time admiring the view of the entire Hampi town from here.
Climb down the hill and head to a nearby restaurant for a self-sponsored lunch.
After lunch, head to Sanapur Lake for some peace and enjoy adventurous activities.
Try a coracle ride or cliff jumping; both are self-sponsored.
In the evening, head towards the camp.

Around 7 pm, we will start our ride back to Bangalore with a self-sponsored dinner on the way.

Note: There is no place to change clothes, so if you are okay changing into a vehicle, then only go for cliff jumping.

I visited Hampi during the Christmas holidays. It's a great historic place. Ruins shout out clearly what the splendor of Vijaynagar City was. Hotels are Average. Professional properties are lacking. Mostly visitor needs are taken care of by homestays/guest houses by local people. Overall the trip was awesome.

This place reminds the glory of the Vijayanagar Empire. I usually visit this wonderful place regularly but my main concern is about the transportation. As I see only the auto-rickshaw facility is more but they are looting people's money. so you can manage other transportation halp.
