Spiti Valley Tour 2024 (7D/6N) Overview

About the Tour Spiti - when we hear this name, a picture of a snow-clad landscape with high mountains appears in our imagination. The fact is that this place is more beautiful than our vision.

It will be the most beautiful experience of the journey of your life, which you will remember forever. During the winters, this land becomes the snow wonderland we see in the movies. The whole area becomes white and is covered with a thick sheet of white snow. It will be a remarkable journey in your life. This tour of 6 Nights / 7 Days provides you the opportunity to explore this wonderland during winter. You will be amazed to see how this area is so fantastic. It will give you goosebumps and gives you the feeling of a Shang Ri La type thing.

Your trip will start from the cleanest and greenest city of India which is only Chandigarh. The exciting thing about Chandigarh is that it is the capital of two states that is Haryana and Punjab. This trip is the perfect eight days trip where adventure and thrill with you all the time. En route to Spiti in winter, you will be passing through snow-covered roads, mountains, and valleys. Experiencing subzero temperatures will be a bonus that you have never experienced till now. The stay on day one will be at the Narkanda, which is a beautiful place near Shimla where you can experience the flora and fauna of this region. The second-day ride will start in the morning and the places you will visit are Sangla, Rakcham, and Chitkul. Chitkul is the last Indian village near the China border from the Himachal Pradesh side. On the day third, you will experience the majestic views of Kinnaur Valley and your ride will be from Chitkul to Kalpa. On day four, you will spend time visiting Kalpa, Nako, Gue Mummy, and Tabo. From the fifth to the sixth day, you will visit Kaza with other attractions like Pin Valley, Key Monastery, Hikkim, and Komik. On the second last day, you will be transferred from Kaza to Kalpa, and on the conclusion day, your trip will end at Shimla. All these eight days, you will spend seeing the wonders of northeastern Himachal Pradesh, and after the tour, memories will be with you forever.

About the Location
Spiti Valley is situated in the northeastern part of Himachal Pradesh. It is a cold desert valley and is located at an average elevation of 12,500 feet at the core Himalayas. The meaning of the name Spiti is- “The Middle Land.” The name of this valley is related to the geographical fact that it is in the middle between India and Tibet. The other interesting fact about this valley is - It is the least populated area in India. The population density is very low,i.e., 2 Inhabitants/ Square kilometers. Earlier the whole region was divided into two parts Lahaul district & Spiti district. Later they merged into one Lahaul-Spiti in 1960. The administrative headquarter of this region is Keylong. The whole area is stretched into 13,833 sq. Km.

High Himalayan mountains surround the whole area. The Kunzum Pass cuts off Lahaul and Spiti at an elevation of 15,059 feet above sea level, which makes it amazing. Here the dominant religion is Buddhism which is similar to Buddhism followed in Ladakh and Tibet. During winter, Spiti remains cut off from the rest of India for eight months due to heavy snowfall and harsh climatic conditions. This area experiences snowstorms for some brief time, especially from November to June, but due to the efforts of the Border Road Organization again, roads were restored. There are many attractions to visit in Spiti where some of which are places, and some of them are monasteries. The best places to visit in Spiti are
