The first and foremost thing about any trek is to know the amount of distance we need to cover and how the trail is. The two routes of the Bhimashankar trek are:
Ganesh ghat
Sidhi ghat
Trek through Sidhi ghat is a difficult one but it takes less time than Ganesh ghat. It is a short distance trail, while Ganesh ghat trek takes comparatively more time but you can enjoy more scenic views on the way.
Ganesh ghat route
The total distance to be covered in this route is around 8 km and the time taken is 4 hours. It starts from Khandas to Bhimashshanker via Ganesh temple. The Ganesh ghat route gives you the taste of scenic beauty and it's of moderate level for the trekkers. This route is famous for its pleasing view that will delight you through the trail.
Sidhi ghat route
The distance to Bhimashshanker via Sidhi is 5 km. The distance of this trek is shorter when compared to the Ganesh ghat route but it is more rocky and tough among the two. We need to cover three mountains while going through the Sidhi ghat route and it is not for the beginners.
