Located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, the Ranthan Kharak Trek is like a hidden gem. My friend told me about this almost a month ago, and the moment we got time out of our busy schedule, we booked it from Banbanjara right away. My experience of the Ranthan Kharak Trek was magical! I went on the trek solo, and at first, I was all worried about my safety. But on the journey, I met lovely fellow trekkers, and our guide was helpful, and he took good care of our safety. The Ranthan Kharak Trek was one of the best treks I have done so far. As a trekking enthusiast and some travelling with first-timers, I think it was a great adventure with well-balanced challenges and an opportunity to explore Kumaon Himalaya’s hidden charm. After hours of trekking through the dense forest, we were introduced to ‘Kharaks’, the large, picturesque meadows. I had so much fun with my friends and fellow trekkers.
