This place is located in Tamhini ghat which is about 4 hours from Mumbai and 2 -3 hours from Pune. It is an awesome and must-do trek during monsoon as it offers some beautiful views of lush green forests and white-gushing waterfalls. It's a 13km trek and takes about 6- 7 hours. Please do this trek with an experienced group of trekkers.

Located within this is a nature trail around 15 km long called the Andharban Trek. It means 'dark forest loosely translated. It's a good trek with a bunch of friends but not advisable in a group of 3 or fewer as it is right in the middle of the wilderness and help may be miles away in case of a mishap.

It is an awesome, adventurous, and must-do trek during monsoon as it offers more beautiful views of lush green forests, beautiful wildflowers, and white-gushing waterfalls. It is almost a 13 km trek and takes about 6- 7 hours. For completing this trek please take the help of local guides from the village and also go with the trek groups because the dense forest has many difficult routes in between the forest.

One of the best monsoon or even summer trails, if you are a nature lover. Don't get trapped by the Guide here, they charge too much for nothing. The trail is extremely simple and flat if you get to the starting point.

Best trek.. just need little high stamina. Bcz trek route was up to 16 km minimum. Otherwise no issue. Stay with the group chances for "lost in the forest".. carry 2 liters of water.

Andharban, literally translating to the Dark Forest, is a dense jungle situated in the Pimpri region of Maharashtra. It is located about an hour and a half's distance from Lonavla and happens to be a popular trekking region in the southern part of India.

Excellent nature at this place. The beautiful climate must visit. This track will start from Andharban Point and end at Bhira Dam. You can do half as well and come back to star point.
