A living fort, with narrow lanes inside the fort, where the families still go about their daily chores. A Jain temple with good sculptures in the pillars, a lookout with a great city view, and a Hindu temple are all part of the fort. Considering the narrow lanes, a guide may be useful. Considering the narrow lanes, a guide may be useful. I had one as a part of my tour package, but can’t advise if the guides who are at the fort entrance are good. In all, Jaisalmer is for the desert package, the fort is not as empty or grand as the other forts of Rajasthan.
It's only one living fort, a nice shopping complex. jain mandir is nice to c there. if u r going to Jaisalmer, must visit.. habu stone is very famous here. habu stone water is very good for diabetes its a blood purifier.
This is a living fort. Better to take an auto ride up to the palace. The king and the queen's palace are to be seen from the outside. Also, there is a free tour of the museum which is on the 4th floor. There is a Jain temple inside the fort. Water bottles and many other things are not allowed inside the temple. There is a charge of 50 rupees per phone. Overall experience was ok.
NYC experience in Jaisalmer golden fort is a living fort in India. great cleaning and saff ower staff are very help full and corporative.
A little annoying especially because of the continuous honking and movement of two-wheelers. Mehran Garh was a fabulous experience.
The most beautiful golden fort and golden sandstone are very nice and the golden stone hand art by hand so beautiful I am visiting again.
Very nice and beautiful so big when you work inside really hard for old people young people is no problem but inside clean nice very small straight.
One must go and visit the fort in the evening. At dusk, the changing colors of the horizon and the shimmering lights of the city are magnificent to observe.
This is a fort where normal people stay inside the fort this is a unique thing and the fort is beautiful do take a guide so that they can tell you every detail of the fort. At night be sure to go to a rooftop Cafe in Jaisalmer (there are many) and admire this marvelous architecture in beautiful lights.
It includes only Camel rides and no Desert safari by Jeep. I had to pay 1200 more for 2 people for Desert Safari by Jeep. The dinner was good. The camel ride was very good, on requesting he took us twice with just 50Rs. tip. There is an option to go for an ATV ride also there @600 per person for a small round :P. But it was fun overall and I enjoyed it.
