With all of my friends in Bangalore, went for this trek. My first suggestion for this trek is, do not even think to take children with you. Second, those who have vertigo problems should not try. 80% of the route has a deep valley on one side. This trek is not a tough one, I would say. The initial 1km is moderate and then it is an easy route with UPS and downs. After 50% you'll get again moderately tough route and at the end again it'll become a bit tough.
If you love to walk, this may be the best trek route for you. Come here in the monsoon season. It rains here 24 hours continuously. But, be prepared physically and mentally as well. It'll not be as fun as walking on plain land. And that too 11+11, 22 I'm walking. There is no shelter, no food, and no water in the whole trek. You have to carry everything. Plastic packet foods and cigarettes are not allowed. Put all your food in a big plastic jar and start.
My first trek in my life. it was so beautiful like a great mountain, animals, lovely clouds, etc💗
Rain day is when we went. Leeches, lots of water stream, wind, rain, wildlife scare, and then some more rain. Just the Perfect trek we wanted They allow only 50 people per day which is a great thing and should continue the same. Kudremukh Trek is a memorable trek for a life time.
Forest has so many unexplored places and the public is prohibited to access those. While entering the forest area check post forest officials issue a slip with timings to travel and reach another check post before timings so that u are not wandering anywhere in between. Strictly not allowed to get down from your vehicles to avoid any trouble.
Nice experience...........!!!!!!! The water streams every now and then; the cloudy, foggy views here and there; the greeny thick trees all around; trek of a life time. But unfortunately after reaching the top we didn't get any view as it's completely covered with clouds by then. Nevertheless it's a trek worth of our time.
You need to pay the entry fee (200 or 300 per head), and the guide fee(1k)You need to take a jeep ride for around 9-10km to reach the checkpost which costs around (1-1.5k). If you ask the local shop guys, they will arrange everything for you. Please take something to eat along the trek. And don't throw any plastic around. The Forest department is putting a good amount of effort to make the place plastic free.
Nature at its best ❤️❤️ Please follow the guide instructions, and return back to the stay within 5 -5.30 pm, it will turn dark and wildlife might attack. We have hard roads to see the Beautiful peak view 😀. You might feel to give up but don't you will regret it for sure 😜, I did the same. Please don't carry plastics, Nature is a Gift ❤️❤️
Don't forget to carry snacks, glucose, and energy booster to keep you up. Water is abundant on the way, so don't carry much water have a bottle and fill it on the way. No network in the base but once you reach the peak you will receive a good connection. Lost in nature 🥰🥰
Great place for a weekend had a wonderful time. plastics and tissues are not allowed if you have a glucose packet or any other energizer packers mix it with water before itself it's not allowed there. The point is to keep the forest free of garbage. Enjoy the time. I won't say how to reach what to do and stuff as it's already available online.
