You must carry minimal winter clothes because the temperature ranges between 10-26 degrees Celsius during the day. You can have a great view of ice-topped mountains and lush green meadows. The temperature drops to -2 degrees Celsius at night, but your sleeping bags will keep you warm and cozy.

Trekking in monsoon

Kareri Lake Trek is among the few Himalayan treks that can be done in monsoon also, usually trekking is avoided in this season but here you will be geared up for the rain that occurs during the trek. The rainy season here starts from mid-July and lasts till mid-September.

The temperature ranges between 9 to 18 degrees Celsius. The only downside of this trekking is that you are advised to avoid camping during the rainy season because the tents can leak and the ground is muddy. Still, you will find accommodations in Kareri village easily.

Trekking in autumn

Autumn is said to be the most favorable time for trekking because there is no sign of rain at this time and winters are yet to come so the weather is pleasant with clear skies and a relaxing natural environment. The Autumn season starts in September and lasts till mid-November.

Although the nights are extremely cold, you don't have to worry because your sleeping bags will keep you warm and cozy.

Trekking in winter

Winter season is the least preferable time for trekking but at the same time, it is the most suitable time for experienced trekkers. In winter Kareri lack is covered with a white sheet of ice and the trails are impossible to cross. This trek should be avoided by beginners in the winter season. If you are a person who loves photography this is the best time for you to plan this trek. This place turns into a fairyland in winter so if you want to capture the winter scene of the Himalayas then it is the most suitable time for you.
