A trek during the rainy season may sound risky, but our recent trip to the KheerGanga Trek was safe and full of thrill. In this blog, we have been to the Kheerganga trek and share our experiences focusing on security issues.
July is accompanied by monsoonal rains and greens in the landscapes of KheerGanga. The air becomes crisp, waterfalls seem to sing, and everything suddenly starts looking heavenly. The reason for our choosing this season for the hike is just so that we could see KheerGanga in its full-bloom beauty as it appears during monsoons.
For example, we purchased high-quality rain gear such as waterproof jackets, pants, and hikers’ boots. This enabled us to remain dry and comfortable as we traveled.
It was crucial to choose a guided trek that takes into account locals experienced in the condition of the territory and weather forecasts. It was helpful when it came to navigation since there were trails and they guided us through during heavy rains.
Regular Weather Checks:
It was one of their routine practices to keep abreast with updates about weather forecasts. That helped us to plan our trekking hours accordingly so that we could be safe from the rainstorms.
Our backpacks were fitted with important stuff such as an emergency medical kit, a torch, additional dry garments, and rain covers for electronic appliances. It also increased their protection by being ready for unplanned things.
The reason for trekking with others was not only for company but also for safety. This would help us motivate and support each other in tough sections of a trail while also passing information on current trail conditions.
However, the hike was really interesting and wonderful despite that beginning anxiety. There was also lots of greenery in the rain creating a misty surrounding which added more excitement to the whole trip. Along the way, many roaring waterfalls added to the hypnotic melody of our journey.
When we arrived at the KheerGanga campsite, the hoteliers had prepared for the upsurge of monsoon. The tent settings were strong while measures were put in place for safety and comfort during the rainy weather.
Trekking Kheerganga in July proved to be very safe and unbeatable. This is a Himalayan jewel that was revealed during the monsoon period. It is important to consider appropriate safety precautions and be well prepared. However, if you take a positive attitude and carry some adventure in your heart, venturing out for a monsoon trek to KheerGanga can be an amazing journey.
