Itinerary For Lamkhaga Pass Trek

Day 1 - Arrival at Harsil

Harsil

  • Arrive in Harsil, a scenic village near Gangotri, Uttarakhand, about 230 km from Dehradun. 
  • Opt for our transport, and we'll pick you up at 9 am from Dehradun ISBT, driving you to Harsil for an overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse.

Day 2 - Harsil to Kyarkoti

  • Start the trek to Kyarkoti today, passing through lush forests and scenic landscapes. Enjoy diverse flora, fauna, and cascading waterfalls on the route to the night's campsite. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 - Lamkhaga pass base camp

  • Trek to the Lamkhaga Pass base camp at 4420 meters, facing a challenging ascent with steep snow slopes and moraines. Technical equipment may be required for the treacherous terrain and narrow valley. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4 - Acclimatise

  • Take a day for rest and acclimatization to the high altitude, gearing up for the challenging pass crossing ahead. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5 - Gundar

  • Early departure from the base to conquer Lamkhaga Pass. Navigating its steep and near-vertical terrain demands equipment and rope. The pass offers a mesmerizing view with glaciers and snowfields, surrounded by lofty, jagged Himalayan peaks. Descend to the Gundar campsite using Descend to the Gundar campsite using ropes. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6 - Dumti

  • Depart early from the campsite for a long trek featuring sheer descents. Overnight stay in Dumti.

Day 7 - Rani Kanda

  • The trail to Rani Kanda is breathtaking, adorned with vibrant flowers and stunning waterfalls. A sight to behold. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 8 - Chitkul

  • Arrive in Chitkul, the final village in Baspa Valley and just before the Indo-Tibet border. Overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse

Day 9 - Depart from Chitkul

  • Choose our transportation service, and we'll pick you up from your Chitkul hotel, driving you to Shimla, covering a total distance of approximately 250 km. We'll drop you off at Shimla ISBT by late evening

Day 10 - Buffer day

  • These days in the itinerary can be flexibly utilized for rest, waiting, or acclimatization at any suitable point
