You can hire a cab or take a local bus from Kullu Airport to reach Spiti Valley.

BY RAIL
You can arrive in Chandigarh by train, and then take a taxi or bus from Chandigarh to reach Spiti Valley.

Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Spiti Valley. To board this train, you must first travel to Pathankot, where you will board a toy train that will take you to Jogindernagar.
You can then take a bus to Manali, from where you can take a taxi to reach Spiti Valley.

  • Due to its elevation, ATMs in Spiti Valley may not be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So make sure you have enough cash to last at least a week.
  • A permit is required to visit Rohtang Pass, especially if you are traveling by bike. This permission is only valid for a single day.
  • For traveling into the country's restricted areas, foreign visitors must have an Inner Line Permit or ILP. The DM's offices in Shimla and Reckong Peo can provide you with this information.
  • Bring cold and flu medication with you, as temperatures may drop to sub-zero, and you may get a minor fever.
