Patvinsuo -

Patvinsuo National Park is located in the municipalities of Lieksa and Ilomantsi in Finland's North Karelia region. It was founded in 1982 and encompasses an area of 105 square kilometers. The area has 80 miles of marked walking trails.

Paateri Church -

Eva Ryynänen (1915-2001) was a well-known Finnish sculptor after the 1950s. She primarily used wood as her primary material. Her main subjects in art were children, animals, nature, fairy tale characters, Finnish mythology, and farmhouse tasks.

Paateri is located in Vuonisjärvi, in a lovely setting beside a river and a forest. Paateri consists of the sculptress's home, studio, church, and café, all of which she designed and are filled with her works of art.
