The Asamkirche, also known as the Asam Church orSt. Johann Nepomuk Church, is a small Baroque church located in Munich, Germany. It was  erected between 1733 and 1746 by the sisters Cosmas Damian Asam and Egid Quirin Asam, who were both artists and engineers.

 The church is located in the Sendlinger neighborhood of Munich and is  devoted toSt. John of Nepomuk, a Czech fatality who was canonized in the 18th century. The  surface of the church is  fairly  unpretentious, with a simple facade and a small  pate, but the interior is ornately decorated with oils, stucco work, and puppets.  

The nave of the church is decorated with oils depicting scenes from the life ofSt. John of Nepomuk, as well as  colorful saints and angels. The high balcony, which is made of marble and gold, features a statue ofSt. John of Nepomuk  girdled by angels. The side stages are  devoted toSt. Francis Xavier andSt. Ignatius of Loyola.  

The Asamkirche is considered one of the stylish  exemplifications of Baroque armature in Munich and is a popular  sightseer  magnet. Despite its small size, the church is known for its rich decoration and the  emotional use of light and shadow to  produce dramatic  goods.
