Located on the northeastern side of Phi Phi Island, about 5 km from the northern tip of Phi Phi Don Island, Bamboo Island is one of Thailand's most beautiful islands, with dramatic scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The island was originally known as Koh Pai, and was nicknamed 'Bamboo Island' due to the dense forests in the center of the island. This uninhabited island is so small that you can walk around it in about 30 minutes. The island can be accessed by longtail or speedboat from Tonsai Village Pier. This island is one of the least explored in the Phi Phi Islands and is famous for its white sand, clean and sparse beaches. The beach sand looks a little pink due to the broken coral structures found here. The water on the island looks crystal clear and is home to a wealth of marine life, and swimming feels like swimming in a perfectly set up aquarium. , coral reefs grow in the waters near the beach and are best explored by snorkeling. Tourists can bring their own snorkel gear and dive deep into the Andaman Sea to explore the underwater world. The beach is a great place to let the sun kiss you for hours, and there are facilities such as restrooms on the beach. You can bring your own tent and set it up for a picnic. A small bar under the treetops on the northeastern part of the island sells refreshing drinks to help you brave the scorching sun.
