Highlights of Bimbisara Jail

The enormous white Vishwa Shanti Stupa can be found on the Ratnagiri hill in Rajgir at a height of 400 meters. On the corners of the Stupa, four shining golden Buddha statues are carved out of white marble. The four Buddha statues represent four significant occurrences in Lord Buddha's life.

One of Rajgir's most popular tourist attractions, the Vishwa Shanti Stupa—also known as the Gridhakuta—is accessible via ropeways. In addition, there is a small Japanese Buddhist Temple inside the Stupa that you can visit. The temple also has a large park. Additionally, there is a pagoda or temple where prayers for world peace are said. Additionally, it is one of the 80 Peace Pagodas constructed worldwide by the neo-Buddhist organization Nipponzan Myohoji.
Bimbisar, a powerful Magadh emperor, designed the breathtaking Venuvana as Lord Buddha's residence. Venuvana was the first offering made by the emperor to Lord Gautama Buddha. It was an artificial forest and a place to relax and meditate. In addition, there is a monastery on the property, where Lord Buddha used to meditate.

The huge and stunning Bamboo Grove, flowers, and a large pond with a Buddha statue in the middle can all be seen here. There are numerous hotels close to the Venuvan where you can stay. On the backside of the garden, there is also a Japanese Buddha temple that you can explore while you are here. You can partake in the serenity of this spot while going for a walk around the nursery or by sitting in one tranquil spot. You can also meditate under the cover of trees near the pond in the morning or at night.

The Rajgir Ropeway, which takes you to the top of Ratnagiri Hill, is regarded as the nation's oldest ropeway. This chairlift ropeway takes you to an altitude of about 1000 feet above sea level, where you can take in the stunning views of the charming Pant Wildlife Sanctuary as well as the majestic peaks of Udaygiri, Vaibhagiri, Songiri, and Vipalachal.

The Jain, Hindu, and Buddhist pilgrims who use the chairlift to get to the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, which is at the top of Ratnagiri Hill, typically take the ropeway.

Swarna Bhandar, also known as the Son Bhandar caves, is a group of two artificial caves that were constructed from a single enormous rock.
