It is located near the Royal Palace which is also called the heart of Phnom Penh. It is built in the communist socialist-realist style, the monument shows two soldiers standing side-by-side, one Vietnamese and one Cambodian, with a Cambodian woman having a baby in hand as she stands under their protective hands. Behind them is the concrete tower, the top of this tower is decorated with gold.
