summary

Fisherman's Village Samui is home to a few boutique shops, hip restaurants, and hotels along the curvy Beach Road. The Fisherman's Village Walking Street Market takes over the entire area every Friday, drawing throngs of consumers from all over the island to its incredible selection of goods and exciting atmosphere.

Clearly, the name of this older section of Bophut Beach comes from the fact that it was formerly a busy fishing hamlet. The primary pier has collapsed, and the fisherman have left. The village still has a charming vintage feel to it because of the ancient wooden shophouses that still stand and the maze of tiny alleys that connect many of them.

Points Of Interest for Fisherman’S Village

Numerous structures on the seashore of the road have open backs that provide breathtaking views of Koh Phangan across the water. The majority of these are eateries, and several of them have tables that are spread out on the nearby beach's sand. Since it should come as no surprise, many of them specialised in Thai seafood, but you will also discover a wide variety of western and international options, as well as one or two pubs and bars.

Where to go to use pool ,bar ,restaurant on the beach, any suggestions? Thanks

We used to go to a place called CoCo, (Tambon Mae Nam, Ko Samui District, Surat Thani 84330) it doesn’t have a pool but it’s right on the beach , has sun beds with umbrellas and a Restuarant and bar. It’s lovely and we went there most days. There’s a very small charge for a bed but If you order food/drink there then that covers it. The beach is very clean as the staff clean it everyday. Hope that helps

How is parking around the Village?

We went by taxi so didn’t have the parking problem. The roads were extremely congested getting there and a 30 mins drive took almost an hour! As previously answered, there is a huge parking area, but seemed to have plenty of empty spots when we walked past. Have fun.

Is there vegetarian food available at the market ?

You have to try the Mango Sticky rice - it's out of this world
