Fisherman's Village Samui is home to a few boutique shops, hip restaurants, and hotels along the curvy Beach Road. The Fisherman's Village Walking Street Market takes over the entire area every Friday, drawing throngs of consumers from all over the island to its incredible selection of goods and exciting atmosphere.
Clearly, the name of this older section of Bophut Beach comes from the fact that it was formerly a busy fishing hamlet. The primary pier has collapsed, and the fisherman have left. The village still has a charming vintage feel to it because of the ancient wooden shophouses that still stand and the maze of tiny alleys that connect many of them.
