The Hidimba Devi Temple, often referred to as the Dhungri temple, is a venerated Hindu temple that is nestled in the snow-covered hills of Manali. The Hindu demon-goddess Hidimbi is the subject of the cave temple. One of the five Pandava brothers who serve as the focal point of the epic Mahabharata, Bhima, was married to Hidimbi. The temple, which Maharaja Bahadur Singh constructed in 1553 CE, is situated around a prehistoric cave where Hidimbi Devi is said to have meditated.
