Kollam Beach, also known as Mahatma Gandhi Beach, is a beach that can be found in the Indian state of Kerala's capital city of Kollam. Kollam Beach is the first "Beach Wedding Destination" in Kerala.

The Mahatma Gandhi Park, a park of exceptional quality with a location on the beach, was inaugurated on January 1, 1961, by Zakir Hussain, India's vice president at the time. Kollam Beach is one of the few beaches in Kerala with a lifeguard station.Lifeguards have been stationed at the beach since 2005. Kovalam near Kollam is one of the three beaches in south Kerala that have lifeguard outposts as of July 2015.

Kollam Port, on the Arabian Sea's Malabar Coast, is one of the busiest and most important ports for the world's cashew trade. As of 2010, Kerala's Kollam Port was the second-largest port after Cochin Port.

Before India gained its independence, the Portuguese, Dutch, and English all preferred to settle in Kollam.

The port is protected by the Tangasseri Breakwater, which stretches 1.1 miles (1.8 km) south-southeast of Tangasseri Point. Due to its beautiful location and backwaters, Kollam Beach is one of Kerala's most popular tourist attractions.

The construction of a marine aquarium at Kollam Beach, the first of its sort in Kerala, started on June 22, 2014. The aquarium is being constructed on the eastern end of the beach for the Kollam Municipal Corporation by the Harbour Engineering Department. The first stone was laid for the project in March, and it should be done by the end of the year. A variety of aquatic species will be housed in the 40-tank, one-story aquarium, enhancing Kollam Beach's tourism attractions.
