This hill and is named for the ruler Gaius Julius Antiochus Epiphanes . The people are also known as Philopappos. The people of Athens were very disturbed by the death of Philopappos in 116 AD. So They built the prince monument on the hill, together with his sister Julia Balbilla. This magnificent monument built atop the hill in honour of his many achievements.
