Susannah Place Museum

Susannah Place Museum is a collection of four terraced houses built in 1844 by
Irish immigrants and located in the center of The Rocks. Over 100 families lived in these tiny
basement kitchens, backyards, and outside wash houses for approximately 150 years. This
museum beautifully captures the everyday lives of working-class people against the
backdrop of the expanding city and the working harbor. Today, it tells the stories of families
and individuals who lived here.
