The breath-taking vista of the underwater waterfall mesmerises tourists with its majestic appeal in the southwest tip of lovely Mauritius Island, off the coast of Le Morne Brabant. The magnificent sight is an astonishing optical illusion that appears to show water rushing deep within the ocean. The spectacular illusion of cascading water is caused by oceanic currents.
These islands were formed by volcanic explosions, which pushed sand and other deposits from surrounding beaches off the plateau. They are falling in such a way that it appears that seawater is rushing deep into an underwater cascade.
This magnificent waterfall is barely visible from the shores of Le Morne. Only from a bird's-eye view high in the sky can one appreciate the magnificence of the underwater cascade. A variety of helicopter trips are available from the island to take in the breathtaking landscape and capture some unforgettable memories.
This spectacular underwater waterfall is a natural beauty that should not be missed on a vacation to Mauritius. Visit this location with your family, friends, or partner for an unforgettable holiday experience.
1.Sand and silt from the ocean floor run off in such a way that it appears as if they are pouring down a waterfall - or as if a massive drain is sucking the whole island down.
2. The stunning effect is actually created by the flow of undersea currents. The ocean water is beautiful from the coast, but seeing this perspective needs a helicopter ride. Tours are specifically designed for this purpose.

Although the island of MU is fantastic in and of itself, Falls is where it gets most of its glory. It is not, however, a true underwater waterfall. Due to the island's construction and ocean currents, it is only a mirage.
Around the island, the deepest ocean water is 4280 metres deep. We think that's pretty introspective.
You can, indeed. Local marine life can be found in these waters. Dolphins are included in this. You may go snorkelling, as we mentioned before, to get up close to all of these adorable dolphins.
