Vivekananda Rock Memorial was structured as a mark of respect to Swami Vivekananda in the year 1970. This place is one of the several places to visit in Kanyakumari. According to popular sayings, the Swami ji attained enlightenment while sitting on a rock meditating here. This memorial is built on “Shripada Mandapam” and “Vivekananda Mandapam” which are two rocks surging their way out of the Lakshadweep Sea.
