The Mekong River is close to the little community of Ban Xang Hai, often known as Whiskey Village. It lures tourists with a distinctive, potent whisky made from rice that is occasionally fermented and sold in bottles. The Lao culture is fundamentally comprised of Lao-Lao. While visiting a hamlet, visitors are sometimes given a shot of firewater (or a huge glass) as part of the blessing rites. This old town, which is inhabited by a small number of individuals, sells handcrafted booze to tourists and the residents.
It is a fantastic idea to arrive in a boat, along a shore, and consume beverages with bamboo straws while learning about the entire fermenting process. Visitors have the option of purchasing this alcoholic beverage, but those who would rather drink water may watch Laotians weave Lao silk or go on a buying spree for locally produced paper and materials. Jars of Lao-Lao could contain animals, which is the only drawback of Ban Xang Hai. Given that these two well-known locations are close to one another on the Mekong River, a trip to the Whiskey Village is frequently followed by a visit to the Pak Ou Caves.
