Set at the foot of Shivalik Hills, Chandigarh-based Sukhna Lake paints a beautiful scene. The Sukhna Lake is an architectural lake and is the only lake in the city of the year 1958 that was formed by Damming the seasonal Sukhna Choe (stream) that runs over the shivalik hills. This lake extends 3 km2. The lake is the ideal place for a stream of morning joggers and walkers who can also take pleasure in the fresh air with its crystal blue water.

The lovely park was named after the previous president of India Zakir Hussain and was created in 1967 with the help of Dr. MS Randhawa, the first chief commissary of Chandigarh. The gardens are located in Chandigarh, on the foothills of the Himalayas. The location is downhill. You enter the highest level and follow canals to the lowest level, passing magnificent pavilions.
