Dharamshala, also known as Dharamsala city, is located in Kangra district, 18 kilometres from Kangra city. Dharamsala is divided between upper and lower sections with varying elevations. The trek is very popular because of its very easy accessibility. I must say it's easier than that. Most of the part of the track is fenced. You can go there and come back within a day. No need to carry food or water bottles, all are available along the track. Can hire tent at peak. No guides are required.
