Nandi Hills is a perfect weekend gateway from Bangalore and Mysore. Sunrise and Sunset are picturesque here. This place is full of greenery and provides a nice city view with beautiful landscapes. There are a kids' park, tree houses, and several cottages for overnight stay. The buses ply frequently from the entrance to the top. However, if you can walk, there are several stairs in the middle of the flora to take you to the top. Environment portraits look wonderful.
Nandi Hills is famous for its iconic sunrise and cloud-cladded hilltop. But with this beauty come too many visitors (I mean too many is an understatement). If you go on a weekend and reach anytime after 5:30 AM, chances are that you may have to come back from the foothill only. It has no crowd management whatsoever and on top of it, crazy drivers push their cars in every nook n Corner. And never never never go on weekends or holidays.
I have seen a few images of Nandi hills and that attracts me to explore that place. I always take public transport as my first priority and it's worthwhile. When you want to go away from your day-to-day life, this is the perfect place to explore with family and friends. Easy access to places like this. It could be road trips via bike, car, and public transport as well.
Nice Experience.. can visit now. Early morning 6. A.m. gates will open.. but u must reach at 4 clock itself.. due to the crowd. Sun rising is the most beautiful Experience.. touching clouds.. weak End Nandhi hills will close...
Best experience...........!!!!!!!!!!!! we were highly disappointed, then went to hogganakal falls which were also closed but got another way to get to the river where we enjoyed boating.
Most people line up there to see the beautiful sunrise with the splendid valley view, but I want to avoid the crowd so went in the afternoon and enjoyed a sunset with my family. Other reviews might already be covering what is there to see and do so not cover that as part of this review. Driving up is not that difficult, even for me this was a first-time "ghat" drive.
Imagine on a cool breezy afternoon you drive in your car passing through fields on both sides and then sailing up through sinewy roads to reach on top of a hillock. Sounds interesting?? It was a fun-filled ride for my family whenever we reach Nandi Hills. It's a must-weekend getaway. I have not targeted sunrise sightseeing so far as I heard it gets really crowded during that time. But it was a nice palace and beautiful nature.

There is an entry fee to park your vehicle. The management needs to invest in making the parking place better. there are big trenches in the parking areas and it's definitely not a good experience to hear your car bumped into trenches every time when you try to park/move out.
Nandi Hills is one of the most common names among Bengalurians for a quick refreshing weekend break. For years this has remained as the most sought-after location for a family picnic, couples spending some leisure time, bikers, trekkers, cyclists, joggers, and travel enthusiasts. Such a nice palace to visit.
The place is around 2 hrs drive from Bangalore city. I found this place a bit too hyped. One has to start at 4 am to view the sunrise at Nandi Hills, to my surprise there were so many people just at the foothills that they closed the check post to go up the hill. Once, at the top, one can get good views from the top, the garden, a temple, and some places to eat. Won't rate this place too high.
