One can also escape into the beauty and serenity of the Dhauladhar and Pin Panjal range. 
The first few days are meant for forest explorations and trekking to some peaks.

After some descents, one will reach the Kalihani pass too.
Then it continues to the  Ravi river and views of Kangra valley. The best time to carry out this trek is between May and September as it will be the blooming season and less cold.

Itinerary For Bara bhangal trek

Day 1 - Arriving at manali

Manali

  • This day would be spent for acclimatization in Manali.

Day 2 - From Manali to Lamadugh

Lamadugh

  • On this day, an altitude of 10,000 feet will be covered in 6-7 hours.

Day 3 - Lamadugh to Riyali thatch

Riyali thatch

  • This is the most interesting day of the trek with a lot of steep meadows.
  • One will see the path to Rohtang Pass during the trek.

Day 4 - Riyali thatch to Kalihani pass

Kalihani pass

  • Kalihani Pass, one of the highest peaks in India, will be reached today after passing gushing rivers.

Day 5 - Kalihani base to Dhonku thatch

Dhonku thatch

  • This is the most rewarded day of the trek when one will be able to see the views of Dhauladhar and pin panjal.

Day 6 - Dhonku thatch to Lamapadh

Lamapadh

  • This is the middle point of the trek and it takes 6-7 hours to complete the trek.
  • Make sure that you dehydrate yourself well.

Day 7 - Lamapadh to dal ki marhi

Dal ki marhi

  • 7 hours are needed to complete the trekking. After that, there will be some fun games for the trekkers.

Day 8 - Dal ki marhi to bara bhangal

Bara bhangal

  • Crossing the deodar forest and Ravi river, one will reach the village within 6 hours.

Day 9 - Rest day

Bara bhangal

  • This day is counted for acclimatization and taking rest.

Day 10 - Bara bhangal to Marhi

Marhi

  • This trek is somewhat long and takes 5 hours to cover the Thamsar pass.

  • The whole journey takes 6-7 hours to complete.

Day 13 - Rajgundha to bir billing and return journey

Bir billing

  • This day is easier than any other day and one will carry out the return journey to Dharamsala on this day.
