Itinerary For Har Ki Dun Trek from Ahmedabad

Day 1 - Reach Dehradun in Morning

  • Our trip representative will pick you from the Airport/Railway Station.
  • Meet your trekmates and start your journey to Sankri.
  • Reach Sankri by early Evening.
  • Get familiar with the environment and stay overnight.

Day 2 - Sankri to Pauni Garaat

  • After traveling 12 km from Sankri, we arrived in Taluka to begin our walk to Pauni Garant. 
  • After crossing the stream, the path ascends to a wooden bridge that spans a gradual incline that descends to the waters below. You can fill your bottle here and proceed.
  • The entire stretch of the river offers shade and is perfect for picture ops. Around one in the afternoon, we get to the lunch stop by the Supin tributary.  A food shack, one of many we will come across on our trip to the valley, sits precariously above the rivulet's banks.
  • These stores sell delicious hot snacks in addition to packaged food and beverages. This will give our on-the-go outdoor meals an extra special twist of delight in addition to our packed lunch.
  • As you continue, harvest fields of corn, potatoes, and millet will appear along the route, giving the entire area the appearance of a ranch house.
  • Welcome to our first camp - Pauni Garaat

Day 3 - Pauni Ghat to Simtara

  • We proceed from Pauni Ghat to Simtara today.
  • We will hike for about 10 km to get to Simtara, stopping along the way to take in the breathtaking views of the Swargarohini ranges.
  • Later, we rest in camps at Simtara and explore the area.

Day 4 - Simtara to Har ki Dun Valley Summit

  • Compared to other days, you will start earlier today. Though the views remain captivating even now, prepare yourself for something more.
  • The trail will enter the glacier basin, which is home to alpine meadows and moraines. Every step you take will be greeted by towering pine trees.
  • Up to the valley of Har Ki Dun, the trail climbs in a combination of steep and moderate ways. You can see snowy areas and frozen waterfalls as you ascend higher. These areas are heavily snow-covered throughout the winter. A valley is a heavenly location that is breathtakingly beautiful at once.
  • Their breathtaking vistas are revealed by the massive peaks of Swargarohini, Hata Peak, Black Peak.
  • The valley is a breathtaking combination of fields, frozen streams, coniferous forests, glacier moraines, and towering peaks in the background.
  • You return to Simtara Camp later and spend the day there resting.

Day 5 - Simtara Camp to Pauni Ghat

  • You return to Simtara Camp later and spend the day there. 
  • We are going to take the same route back to Pauni Garant via the Simtara today. 
  • This is your second chance to relive the happy times spent with the tranquil villagers. 
  • Bid farewell to them and the breathtaking scenery surrounding you.
  • To get to Pauni Garant's campsite, take the same route as before. Savor the last of your evenings in the mountains.

Day 6 - Pauni Ghat to Taluka

  • This morning, a five-hour hike to Taluka begins, ascending along the well-known path and making stops at well-known rest areas. 
  • The vehicle is waiting to return to base camp at the end of the dirt road.
  • Take particular note of the descending strategy.
  •  Even though descending explains less fatigue, it's not a good idea to put a lot of strain on your feet by taking large steps. 
  • Sankri will be the stop for tea/coffee.
