The Kangla Pass trek connects Lahaul to Zanskar, offering scenic views of lush meadows, glacial lakes, and monasteries in the kingdom of Zanskar. It is one of the highest passes on the Great Himalayan Range, allowing you to crossover from Himachal into Ladakh.
The trek is remote and secluded, providing some of the most beautiful views of the Himalayan trails.
The Miyar Valley, also known as Miyar Nalla, is a long valley with the Miyar River running through it. The valley is influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism and is filled with lush green flora and fauna.
The trek starts with pleasant flat green lands and gradually becomes more challenging as you encounter moraines and chilling rivers. The Kangla glacier stretches about 10-13 km on each side of the pass, with dangerous crevasses. Keep an eye out for yaks, marmots, and musk deer.
