Located in the beautiful Sulu Valley of Jammu and Kashmir, the Noon Khun range is a pair of high peaks that dominate the Zanskar range. You will be mesmerised by the snow-covered plain about 4 km long.
The main focus of this trek is to climb Mount Nun, particularly Mount Monk.
This challenging undertaking was first attempted in 1953 by a joint French-Swiss expedition with an Indian Sherpa team. Open the doors to the beautiful and fun experience of climbing the Nun Kun mountain.

Air Travel:
➔ Air is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Leh. Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) in Leh is the main airport serving the region. You can book flights to Leh from various major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Srinagar and Chandigarh.
By train:

➔ The nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi Railway Station (JAT) in Jammu.

Road Trips:

➔ Leh is well connected to various northern states by road.Srinagar to Leh: NH1 passes through Sonamarg, Zoji La, Drass and Kargil before reaching Leh. The trip usually takes about 2 days.Manali-Leh: The Manali-Leh Highway (NH3) offers stunning views but challenging high places like Rohtang Pass and Tanglang La, which takes 2 days from Manali-Leh.

Itinerary For Mount nun climb

Day 1 - Arrival in Leh

Arrive in Leh and spend the day acclimating to the altitude.
Explore popular attractions like monasteries, Leh Palace, Khardung La Pass, and various markets.

Day 2 - Journey to Matho Village

Start your trek from Matho Village after driving from Leh, a journey of approximately 2-3 hours.
Camp by the Mathu Chu River, acclimating further to the altitude.
You will be staying in your assigned tents.

Day 3 - Trek to Gang Poche

Begin the day by crossing Mathu Chu over a small pass, reaching the area's highest point.
Trek towards Gang Poche and camp for the night below Gang Poche.

Day 4 - Trek to Mankarmo

Embark on a 2-3 hour journey from Gang Poche to Matho La, passing prayer flag-adorned paths and then Descend to Mankarmo.

Day 5 - Trek to Stok Village and Return to Leh

Continue the trek to Stok Village, gradually ascending in altitude.
Later, spend the night at a base camp.
The following day, exit through Stok Valley and enjoy an hour's drive back to Leh.
