Rishikund Premium Trek Highlights

Rishikund Premium Trek Overview

This location is situated among the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand where many of the picturesque mountains are present.
The altitude of this peak ranges from 1800 to 4370 metres in the Nanda Devi reserve area. The starting point of this trek is joshimath and it goes on till Rishi kund and sajdhar top.
There are also some countable peaks like Dornagiri, Nanda Ghunti, Devasthana and Nanda Devi.
The trek is open and enjoyable for everyone who loves the beauty of nature and it comes under moderate levels of trails too. The maximum altitude one covers in this trek is 4370 metres.
The most preferable time that one can carry out this trek is during May to June and from September to October.

Itinerary For Rishikund Premium Trek

Day 1 - Arrival at haridwar and drive to Joshimath

Joshimath

Joshimath is situated in the chamoli district of Uttrakhand. This location is the common gateway for himalayan trekkers and pilgrims to badrinath.
There are many prayags on the way soch as rudra prayag, Karan prayag, nandaprayag and Vishnu prayag. After one arrives at Joshimath, the overnight stay will be there.

Day 2 - Drive to suraithota and trek to Bhalgaon

Bhalgaon

After having breakfast from Joshimath, everyone moves to suraithota and the trek to Bhalgaon will be starting only in the afternoon. Overnight stay will be at Bhalgaon.

Day 3 - Bhalgaon to kantala

Kantala

The 8 km trek from Bhalgaon to Kantala starts in the morning. Overnight stay at kantala.

Day 4 - Trek to rishikund

Rishikund

The location is situated close to raghunath temple and triveni ghat. The trekking takes 5 hours. Overnight stay will be there.

Day 5 - Trek to sajdhar top

Sajdhar top

The trekking starts in the morning after breakfast and goes on exploring and sightseeing at sajdhar.

Day 6 - Trekking back to bhalla gaon

Bhalla gaon

After breakfast, the descend will start to bhalla gaon and day will be spent by exploring the place.

Day 7 - Trek to suraithota and drive to Joshimath

Joshimath

After arriving joshimath by driving, everyone checks in the hotel and stays there overnight.

Day 8 - Drive to haridwar

Haridwar

The trek marks the end when everyone drives back to haridwar.
