Sara umga trek Highlights

  • For challengers, this is a must-have trek. When compared to Hampta Pass, this trek is difficult and a better alternative with almost zero foot traffic.
  • The best time to enjoy the Sara Umga trek is from July to October.

Sara umga trek Overview

This trek lasts for 4800 metres covering Himachal Pradesh from Tosh in Parvati Valley to Chota Dhara in Lahaul including Spiti Valley.

The Parvati valley is comparatively untouched by many and this trek gives you the opportunity to trail through the Papsura, Dharmasura, Indrasan, and Deo Tibba valleys.

Bara Shigri Glacier is the mightiest among all. The landscapes include altitudes, meadows, grasslands, moraines, boulders, and scree. The trekking goes from a green valley to the raw valleys of Spiti.
