Sariska National Park is a prominent wildlife sanctuary and tiger reserve located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, India. Spread over an area of approximately 866 square kilometers, the park is nestled in the Aravalli Hills, about 107 kilometers northeast of Jaipur, the state capital.
The park was declared a wildlife reserve in 1955 and later attained the status of a national park in 1982. It is an important component of India's Project Tiger, an initiative focused on the conservation of the endangered Bengal tiger. The primary aim of Sariska National Park is to protect and preserve the tiger population and their natural habitat.
