Thachi Valley in Himachal Pradesh is a remote and stunning destination, surrounded by lush forests of deodar, pine, and tosh trees. It's a haven for trekkers, with trails offering breathtaking views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar Ranges.

Trek A Tribe now offers a new trek starting from the peaceful village of Shalwad, located at 2,550 meters altitude, a 1.5-hour hike from the Thachi road. Shalwad is a charming village with around 100 residents, known for farming and fruit cultivation. It offers mesmerizing views of the Manali region and hosts a beautiful wooden Lord Ganesh Temple.

Itinerary For Thachi valley trek

Day 1 - Trek to Shalwad village

We depart from Chandigarh at 8 a.m. and reach Thachi Valley around 4 p.m.
After our arrival, we trekked 2.5 kilometers to Shalwad village at 2,550 meters, where we spent the night in a comfortable homestay.

Day 2 - Lord vishnu temple top

Vishnu temple

Begin the day early after breakfast for a 5-kilometer, 3-hour trek to the Lord Vishnu Temple Top through an unspoiled forest.
After reaching the temple, enjoy lunch and a briefing about the scenic views. Explore the area, return to the homestay, and unwind with Madrosh tea and stargazing by a bonfire.
If desired, try delicious home-cooked Guchchi mushrooms for an extra Rs. 500.

Day 3 - departure day

Chandigarh

Start your day in silence, followed by breakfast. Explore the village, hike to the road for an hour, then drive 9 kilometers to Speini Dhar, a pass connecting Thachi and Janjheli Valley.
Visit the Submenu Nag Temple, concluding your memorable journey as we head back to Chandigarh.
