Crossing a bridge over Bagini Nala and navigating rocky paths, you'll reach Longatulli, where you'll be amazed by the views of Satminal, Hardeul, and Rishi Pahar.

Itinerary For Bagini Glacier Trek

Day 1 - Haridwar to Joshimath

To reach Jumma, the starting point of the Bagini Glacier trek, from Joshimath, you can travel by road for about one hour.
Starting your day early, you can visit famous places like Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnprayag along the way.

Day 2 - Joshimath-Jumma-Ruing Village

Ruing Village

The road from Joshimath to Jumma has a mix of bumpy and smooth sections.
The trail starts by crossing a steel suspension bridge at Dhauliganga and then goes uphill towards Ruing.
For camping, you have two options: stay at Ruing village with permission from the locals or trek 2-3 km to a grassy meadow before the ascent to Dronagiri.

Day 3 - Trek to Bhumial God Temple

Today's trail is similar to yesterday's, with a meandering path that goes up and down.
Enjoy the scenic forest and catch breathtaking views of Hathi Parvat and Ghori Parvat.
Reach the intriguing Dronagiri Village, pitch your tent on the outskirts, and visit the nearby Bhumial God temple for stunning views.

Day 4 - Dronagiri Village to Bagini base

brings thrilling moments on the meandering trail with views of Rishi peak.
Cross the concrete bridge over Bagini Nala and navigate through rocky terrain.
Take a break by a clear stream.
Next, reach Longatulli camping ground with mesmerizing peak views. Camp at Bagini main base or Advanced Bagini base camp.

Day 5 - Base camp to Bagini glacier

Brace yourself for a challenging Bagini Glacier trek and Changbang trek.
Wake up early to catch the stunning sunrise at the Changbang campsite.
Encounter glacier drifts, moraines, and ravines along the way.
Reach the enchanting Bagini Glacier and continue to Changbang. Return to Bagini base camp.

Day 6 - Base camp- Ruing Village

Ruing Village

On a lighter day, you'll descend around 18 kms through Longatulli to reach Dronagiri Village and later Ruing Village.
Set up camp for the night at Ruing Village.

Day 7 - Ruing Village- Jumma - Joshimath

Joshimath

After a three-hour descent, you'll reach Jumma Village.
From there, you'll be driven to Joshimath. It's the perfect time to relax and recover from the trek.
You can spend the night at one of the guest houses.

Day 8 - Joshimath to Haridwar

Haridwar

If you want, you can catch an early transport to Haridwar.
Alternatively, you can spend some time exploring the lovely town of Joshimath.
This will be the end of your Bagini Glacier trek journey

Where is Bagini Glacier located?

Bagini Glacier is in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas. It begins near the base of Changabang and Trishul peaks, extending northward. This glacier is also within the Nanda Devi National Park, surrounding the majestic Nanda Devi peak.

What will be the temperature at Bagini glacier?

If you go from April to June, you'll have daytime temperatures of 15-20 degrees and nighttime temperatures of 7 to -2 degrees. In September and October, it gets even colder with daytime temperatures of 10-15 degrees and nighttime temperatures of 5 to -5 degrees.

Any cancellation made within 0-7 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 100% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
