It is the active Volcano of Mount Batur. It is not in India but situated in Bali. Three important mountains in Bali are next to each other: Mount Batur, Mount Abang, and Mount Agung in the city. These are the three active volcanic mountains. The most recent eruption on Mount Batur was in the year 2000 and on Mount Agung it was just seen just a couple of years back which is in 2019. Out of these mountains, Mount Batur is a popular spot for trekkers. It is situated in the north of Bali near a village called Kintamani. It takes an hour's drive from Ubud and two hours from Kuta, Canggu, and Seminyak. It is the trek that you have to do when you are in Bali. To be very clear, Mount Batur trek is not an easy one and it is not a very difficult trek either. It is an averagely difficult level trek which is perfect for beginners as well as intermediate trekkers. The distance is around 6 km and it will take around 2 hours to reach the top of the mountain. If you come to Bali with family, especially elders or kids, it is not recommended to do the trek. you need a book in advance for Mount Batur and it could be a lot difficult to find a reliable guide. If this is going to be a right trek then you will need a torch.
