Rewa is one of the lesser-known beautiful places in Madhya Pradesh. This is a man-made lake during the reign of Queen Rani Gulab Kunwar of Rewa. In the evening you can enjoy the musical water fountain that spouts water that is mesmerizingly synchronized. You can come over and either sit near the park or the gazebo and simply read the book in the morning or go for a jog in the morning. You can even plan a picnic with your family on the lawn.
The Maharajas of Rewa who were in authority lived there and held court there. The palace displays the opulence of the period's architecture and artistic skill. During the reign of the Baghela Dynasty, it was built in 1881 as a summer palace. The palace is situated on the shores of the lovely Govindgarh Lake and there are several other temples located in and around that area. The palace also houses a museum that shows the lifestyle of the royalty and their memorabilia. The mangoes here are extremely popular.
It is nationally recognized for its distinctive Saracenic architectural style. Maharaja Venkatraman Singh commissioned the construction of the masterpiece, which was finished in 1907. It is a beautiful temple that houses carvings of Lord Shiva and Parvati and other deities. There are twelve doorways that lead to the exterior section and there are hidden tunnels in the building which the kings used to travel around the palace undetected.
It goes back to the 13th Century and has witnessed the rules of various dynasties including the Baghels, Marathas, and even colonial rule as it was a princely state during the administration of the British. The fort is a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture and has several gateways for entry with the main entrance called Hathi Darwaza or Elephant gate. In the evening tales of Rewa's past and the fort's own mythology are frequently presented. In the past, it was a strategic place for defense in the region.
Madhya Pradesh has an abundance of wildlife including tigers which ranks the highest in terms of population in the State. You can go see the beauty of these feline creatures. In Mukundpur forest tourists can take a safari ride and see Lions, tigers, and panthers as well as the prized white tigers which are extremely rare and are great in numbers in this region. It is a center for the promotion of ecotourism and has 40 or more endangered species.
To enjoy the perfect cacophony of flowing water in a stunning background of thick forest, this is the place to be. The waterfall itself is very high creating a very steep drop. The environment is calm and you can come here to unwind. There are nature trails that are a great way for trekkers to explore the region and enjoy a swim in the shallow waters at the bottom. The Baiga tribe lives around the region and you can even interact with them.

The gallery provides a glimpse into the artistic heritage of Rewa and boasts a collection of tiger photography that is both majestic and inspiring.
It is one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls in India and has been appreciated by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for its beauty. The water here has a vertical flow from the top creating a cascade and you can see the falls from the city limit adding to its picturesque appeal with forest surrounding the area.

Rewa gained international recognition for being the birthplace of the world-famous white tiger, Mohan. He was the first recorded white tiger, and his lineage played a major role in breeding white tigers in captivity worldwide. It is also known for its natural diversity with dense forest and other wildlife.
You can arrive through either the Khajuraho Airport in Madhya Pradesh or the Prayagraj Airport in Uttar Pradesh as both are close to Rewa. From there you can catch a cab and reach Rewa in 2-3 hours.
