The Lakshmi Narayani temple, which houses the goddess Sri Lakshmi Narayani (the female consort/wife of Vishnu Narayana), is the most notable feature of Thirupuram.

Its Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam are covered in pure gold.

The 100-acre temple was built by the Vellore-based charitable foundation Sri Narayani Peedam, which is led by Sri Sakthi Amma, commonly known as "Narayani Amma," the organization's spiritual guide.

Six kilometres separate the city centre from Vellore's golden temple.

You must reserve a private rental car or take direct overnight buses from all nearby major cities in order to go to the temple.

A star-shaped walkway (Sri chakra) with a length of more than 1.8 kilometres may be found in the centre of the verdant scenery in Sripuram.

One can read numerous spiritual messages along the way as they travel down this "starpath" to get to the temple in the middle, including the gift of human birth itself and the importance of spirituality.
