The Alamgir mosque is located near the famous Panchganga Ghat and is amongst the topmost religious attractions of the religious city of India - Varanasi. This structure is a 17th-century monument which is standing tall and mighty in each of its way possible.
This mosque is also called “Beni Madha Ka Darera” and also called “Aurangzeb’s Mosque” which derives its name from the fact that Emperor Aurangzeb constructed this monument. This structure has 2 tall minarets and 3 wide domes which gives the entire structure a more presentable and magnificent outlook of the structure.
In 1948, this structure got demolished by a natural accident in which a few portions of the mosque got ruined, but now this structure is being guarded and preserved by the government at regular intervals. An efficient amalgamation of the evening sunsets near this giant mosque and the water gushing out around this building from the fountains in the garden. This is one of the perfect locations for witnessing a natural beauty of the area.
