The Barabar Caves comprises of a group of four different and unique caves including the famous Lomas Rishi cave, Visvakarma cave, Karan Chaupar cave and Sudama cave.
According to the legends, King Ashoka initiated the construction work of these caves while he was exploring monuments in his kingdom to spread the message of the religion Buddhism and Dhamma. One can explore the internal chambers of the caves and some can either explore the Hindu and Jain sculptures in these caves.
