summary

One of India's most well-known trekking summits is Friendship Peak. At a height of 5,289 metres, The Friendship Peak is one of the top spots to visit in Kullu. The area is regarded as a trekking paradise. This location's panoramic vista is a visual delight you won't soon forget. One of the toughest treks in Himachal Pradesh is this one. As the terrain is so harsh, only individuals with previous trekking experience are permitted to attempt this challenging task.

Here, one can see the stunning Solan Valley, which is home to alpine meadows, dense woods, and vibrant orchards. At the summit, you can see the little streams winding around the valley. The difficulty of the trek increases as the altitude rises. The adventurers must scale snowy terrain and travel along ridges and glacial trails. This region is home to a number of significant attractions. Manali's Hadimba Temple, the Naggar Roerich Art Gallery, Vasisht's hot springs, and many others are a few among them.

A two-hour journey from Manali brings you to Solang Valley, where the trip begins. You must then begin climbing the mountain until you reach Bakarthach. You must hike until you reach the base camps after passing through a dense forest and a valley that is covered in lush greenery. Two base camps are located on the route to Friendship Peak. The walk is reversed downwards in the same direction after reaching the summit.

If you are up for a stiff trek, I would suggest you take the Chanderkhani trek from the sleepy little village of Jari in the Kullu district. You can start early, like me, and by early afternoon, you will be in the world-famous "Pot Capital of the World" Malana Village". You can spend some time here before proceeding to higher ground.

Chandrakhani Pass is a remote/offbeat landmark near Malana village in Himachal. One can trek to the Pass from Naggar - Rumsu, as well as from Malana. It took us 2.5 hours to come back down which means that for around 6 hours there is no food/water. Luckily there were some locals from Kullu who were kind enough to offer us some lunch that they had prepared.
