A 10 km away from Manali town is located on a hill station of Himachal Pradesh - an Indian state, there is a haven for all the lovers of adventure and nature that is Solang Valley. The pass, a transliteration of "Rohtang," is owned its name historically due to the difficult conditions of the travelers crossing the pass. Since 1553, when the stone temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi was constructed in the enchanting hill station Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India, the Hadimba temple has been the revered place for the worship of Hadimba Devi, who has been the central character in the Indian epic myth, Mahabharata.

Perched right in the heart of the Dhungri Forest filled with lofty deodar trees, Hadimba Devi Temple is particularly known for its distinctive architecture & calm surroundings. In 1553, Raja Bahadur Singh of Kullu had this temple made entirely out of wood, with its inner walls, pillars, and doors all beautifully carved. 

The temple is a unique acknowledgment of the regional cultural dimension with its impressive Himachali-styled architecture and celebrates one of the jewels of our cultural heritage. Its pagoda-like roof and detailed designs inspired by Hindu mythology are clear signs of traditional ground and participate in spiritual significance.

Hadimba Devi, who is believed to be a goddess of fertility is the main deity worshiped at the temple. The myth says that Hadimba Devi humbled herself by doing meditation in the jungles behind Manali and gained mystic power.

The Naggar Castle, which is located atop the hill overlooking the beautiful valley of Kullu district in the northern state of India Himachal Pradesh, is an historical fortress, with which is each time related the history of the people of this area.

The situation here is that the 500-year-old castle was constructed by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu to be the house for the Kullu rulers before they shifted their capital to Kullu town.
