As said by Mirza Asadullah Beg Khan Ghalib “ I asked my soul: what is Delhi? She replied: "The world is the body and Delhi is its life”. Delhi is a beautiful and inviting place with ample cultural diversity filled with Historical monuments, cafes, bars, a savage nightlife, heaven for college students, UNESCO world heritage sites, and Yes! tempting and enticing street food. It is bordered by the state of Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to one side in the East. Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the World and continuously colonized since the 6th Century BCE, it has been captured, ransacked, and rebuilt many times in history by various kingdoms and empires and still standing as an epitome of what beauty is.
If we talk about Delhi in itself it has two parts (a) Old Delhi (b) New Delhi.
Okay! so let’s take a virtual tour of old Delhi first, Old Delhi was founded as a ‘Walled city’ and commonly known as “Purani Dilli” in a vernacular language. Old Delhi is famous for its bazaars, street food, shopping location, and its Islamic buildings and architectures, one of the famous and well-known among is Jama Masjid standing tall in the heart of Old Delhi.
