Gulmarg, also known as Meadow of Flowers, lives up to its name. Gulmarg, also known as Meadow of Flowers, lives up to its name. The 1890s Anglican Church of St Mary's, which sits on a lonely hillock and can be reached by a paved road linking the 1965 neo-colonial style Hotel Highlands Park and Gulmarg Golf Club, adds a spectacular glow to the veld. However, the numerous places to visit in Gulmarg are open all year for those who want to capture the beauty with their cameras or just their eyes.

Gulmarg, India's pine-fringed ski resort, is the closest India can come to being a ski resort. With an elevation of 2730 metres above sea level, it more than justifies the Meadow of Flowers term. The amazing views from the top on a clear day are well worth the ride. However, the main reason for visiting Gulmarg is not the same. You must visit Gulmarg to explore the magnificent mature pine forests that lead you to the elevation of bald Mt Apharwat. To get to the mountain, you can either trek on foot or hire ponies for a pittance of INR 300 per hour. The two-stage gondola cable car that whisks you to 3747m is, however, the most convenient way out. During this ride, you will pass by Nanga Parbat, the world's ninth highest mountain peak, which is located in Pakistan. Booking online can help you avoid long lines, especially during peak season in May and June. This service, however, may be cancelled due to civil unrest or bad weather, and obtaining a refund from the organisers can be extremely inconvenient.

Gandola's base station is about 1 km west of the bus stop. Gulmarg offers over 40 different types of accommodation, each of which is unique in its own way. Hotel prices fall by 20% during the winter, especially when there are civil wars in Srinagar or during the less popular months like September. Gulmarg welcomes visitors all year, but if snowy adventure sports, which are available here during the winter months, aren't your thing, come here in the summer and enjoy a variety of cultural, religious, and outdoor experiences. Gulmarg is ready to give you the experience of a lifetime, with a plethora of hotels, restaurants, and tour operators offering packages to suit any budget.

Gulmarg is a pristine town in Jammu and Kashmir known for its snow-capped mountains and is the country's favourite skiing destination. It is a popular destination for tourists who want to have fun and calm, as well as a good family getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. While day-trippers from Srinagar and tourists from all over the world flock to the valley in the summer, ski and snowboard enthusiasts flock to Gulmarg – India's premier ski resort – in the winter. Gulmarg is also well-known for being a popular destination for honeymooners due to its natural beauty. The best thing about this hill station is that it isn't just a pretty place; it also has a plethora of activities to keep you entertained while you enjoy your frosty vacation.

We visited Phase 1 and Phase 2 both by cable car, Phase 2 ice was so white and pure you can’t even see it with bare eyes, glasses must. The charges seem high on the first note but once you visit there you find it worth spending. Phase 1 has lots of ice-related sports. Ice bike is one of the best.
