Chandernahan Lake is all about melting snow and several springs. It is the source of the Pabbar River, and besides this you trek your entire journey. The lake is in an alpine zone, across 14,000 feet — the altitude makes it an entirely exclusive adventure. The lake is in a sort of a bowl flanked through high snow peaks. Trekking to the lake seems like nearly being a part of a large hiking expedition.
The base camp of the Chandranahan Lake trek is Janglik. The drive from Shimla takes you Rohru, from wherein the street follows the blue waters of the Pabbar river. In a remarkable journey, the street climbs gracefully alongside the Pabbar, the surroundings changing rapidly. From square wheat fields alongside the river and exquisite Himachali homes, you drive past quiet villages and blended forests until you get to the pine forests around Tangnu.
